What does it mean?
A container capacity reference corresponding to one nominal forty-foot container. One FEU equals two TEU, but actual cargo limits still depend on the equipment specifications and route restrictions.
In practice
A volume report records a forty-foot container as one FEU.
Before requesting a quote
For ocean freight, the space your cargo occupies and the receiving schedule influence the shipping arrangement. Confirm whether you need shared or dedicated container capacity, and specify if your request covers the ports only or also pickup and final delivery. Packaging and stackability help define the handling required.
- Total package count, dimensions and gross weight
- Pickup and delivery locations or named ports
- Cargo ready date, stackability and any special handling
