What does it mean?

A shipment document explaining how goods are packed, such as package counts, contents, dimensions and weights. It supports receiving and inspection, but does not replace the commercial invoice.

In practice

The warehouse uses the packing list to check how many cartons should arrive on each pallet.

Before requesting a quote

Document preparation and freight planning work together. Check that names, product descriptions and quantities agree across your shipment records. When requesting transport, explain which documents are available and which are still being prepared, so the team can review the next coordination steps for your route.

  • Shipper and consignee names and contact information
  • Available invoice, packing list and transport references
  • Product description, route and planned shipment date

Ready to apply this to your shipment? Share your route and cargo details so our team can review your requirements.
